1. What is the most important concept you learned this semester? Explain the concept briefly and discuss why it is important. This semester I learned that there is a sense of moral and ethical obligation as members of the international web community to use our resources and technology for the benefit and advancement of the community as a whole.
2. From all the new knowledge you gained in this class, choose 2 facts or ideas that make the biggest impression on you. Explain.
Creative Commons is a way to openly share what you create and allow others to use it.
The web and technology is exponetially growing
3. What 3 skills will you take from this class, and how will you use them in the future?
Internet bookmarking (such as on diigo)
Use of the Flip video hardware and editing software
The uploading/ posting process
4. Look at the 4 global competencies (objectives) for the course. Which objective do you feel you developed to the greatest degree?
What did you learn about that objective, how did you learn it, and why does it matter in the world?
Communicate Ideas: Connect and Colaborate across Boundries
This objective basically says that you learn how to communicate ideas, both informally and formally within and beyond the ISA community.
I have learned the importance of having many different approaches to communicate ideas. I really learned this one day during class when a few of my peers asked about my project. When my project was simply, Social Commentary in Horror Films, it would catch some attention, but the eyes really lit up when I was able to descrebe to them how Zombies attacking only the lower class citizens while the rich are protected. This skill matters in the world because if you cannont communicate specifically to your audience in a creative way then your massage may be misunderstood or lost completly.
5. What does it mean to be a global leader in the 21st century?
A Global Leader must activly participate in the various interworkings of the world wide web and the international internet community while acting as a moniter and facilitator.
